Game Design
Game Designer
The role of a game designer is to develop new innovative game concepts for Casual and Social markets. The designer's responsibility is to make important contributions to the design quality of upcoming projects. Also, the specifications relative to game concept and creation must be defined, while working closely with artists and programmers.Primary tasks
- Conceptualization and in-depth development of the game;
- Documentation, script writer, level-design, level-scripting, data entry, game balancing, integration of multimedia elements (texts, images, sounds and videos)
- Maintain a strong communication with the different department leads (Producers, creative directors, art directors, technical directors)
- Keep updated all documents of the project and maintain regular updates of all design aspects of the game for an overall quality
- Develop prototypes and explore new game ideas. Research and development, participate to market studies and propose new game concepts/ideas
- Study diploma in one of the following: Computer science, multimedia, computer graphics, video games or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of experience in a video game company as a game or level designer
- Experience in game creation. At least one of the following choices
- Professional game
- Personal projects (college, home-made, etc.)
- Experience in a video game company as a game or level designer
- Good experience with multimedia software (Office, Adobe, Macromedia)
- Passion for video games.
- Communicate ideas with ease (oral and written), professional and autodidact
- Able to work under pressure and open to do come occasional over-time

Production
Producer
Primary tasksResponsible for each game's product development cycle including pre-production, production, approval, quality assurance, release, and localization as well as ensuring that project remain on schedule and launch within allocated budgets. Work with external distributors to define milestone content and schedules and validate deliverables.
Communicate regularly and effectively with Localization, QA, Business Development, and Production Planning Teams.
Evaluate development capabilities as part of thorough due diligence processes; capable of creating and refining this process.
Skills
- Must have 3+ years experience in the games industry with at least 2 years in a project management or producer position
- Must have a strong knowledge of game development processes and the ability to produce documentation such as project plans, information architecture wireframes, content matrices, project specifications, and other documents as required per project
- Must be a creative thinker with the ability to develop exciting and innovative game play and community concepts that will appeal to casual and social space
- Must have produced 2 or more games from concept to release (depending on the size of the games)
- Must have experience managing game studio to ensure that promised features are delivered on time and within budget
- Must have solid understanding of current and emerging web technologies, social media, and other trends to ensure that our games are competitive and compelling
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity
- Good experience with multimedia software (Office, Adobe, Macromedia)

Programming
Game Programmer
Primary tasks- Programming in the relevant languages (Flash, C++)
- Programming the tools required by other developers
- Collaborating closely with the game designer as well as the graphics teams to determine various game constraints and establish each element
- Essential: Flash
- Essential: University degree or College Diploma in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Important: Organized, self-reliant and a team player
- Asset: Experience in the video game industry
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to program in a methodical and structured manner
- High interest in video games and in-depth knowledge of gaming culture
- Strong communication skills
- Strong ability to work in a team
